For shooting a music video in Cornwall with director Stuart Brennan, we employed a 2 camera package. The A camera was a Red Weapon Magnesium and the B camera was a Scarlet W, this permanently mounted in a DJI Ronin Gimbal. While the A camera utilised a set of Arri Zeiss Ultraprimes (16-135mm) this my first outing with the P + S Technic 18-35mm T2 zoom which was mounted in the DJI Ronin Gimbal. 

This lightweight zoom offers the field of view versatility of 18-35mm without the painful rebalancing of the Gimbal, and its T2 speed was a good match for the T1.9 Arri Zeiss Ultraprimes. 

With the focal range flexibility of the zoom we found ourselves shooting whole sequences on the Gimbal.

The constantly moving Gimbal shots required some nifty remote focus from AC Dan DiMartino, whose unrehearsed work wide open I am fast coming to rely on. For Gimbal support I used a mixture of Easyrig and Serene arm... and also the new ReadyRig which I loved using for more fluid vertical repositioning.

We kept the A camera moving on either track or slider to keep the energy and pace set by the Gimbal. 

Both cameras were fitted with KipperTies unique OLPF offerings which are my go to diffusion choices at the moment. This was then supplemented with Glimmer Glass, flares and foreground glass shoot-throughs to give us the look we were after.
